Optional light version with fiberglass X mount an additional $4.95
The holes on the x mount of the fiberglass version are slightly smaller than the diameter of the motor in order for them to line up with the holes on the fire wall for 48 to 51" planes. The mounting screws have to be put through the x mount first and then mount the x mount to the motor.
Or, you can put the screws through from behind the firewall and use nuts in front of the x mount to mount the motor. Just make sure the screws are not too long and go in to the motor or hit the magnets.
If the aluminum mount is used new holes will most likely have to be made in the fire wall, for some this may be easier than using the fiberglass x mount.
